Two title tags, one SEO-experiment?
What happens if a page has two title tags? This is SEO-experiment aims to answer this question.
What's issue, why test this?
Duplicate title tags are generally considered bad – and they are. Most programs will choose one over another and might choose the one title tag you don't want to have. Chrome for example will simpyl show the first title tag in the tab and ignore the second one.
The question this experiment will try to answer: Which title tag will Google Search choose to show?
possible results
1. Google chooses to show only the content of the first title tag (the same as Chrome)
2. Google chooses to show the content of both title tags. Maybe because there is an H1 on the page which combines the content of both title tags.
3. Neither will be used and Google chooses to write it's own.
